    1. You must realize that you are a sinner.
Romans 3:10 says, "As it is written, There is no one righteous, not even one;"
Romans 3:23 says, "for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;"
"All" means that everyone has sinned and that everyone has fallen short of what God requires for entry into heaven.

2. You must realize that the payment for your sin is death.
Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death..."
We are doomed to both physical and spiritual death because of our sin. However, There is a way of escape...

3. You must realize that Christ died for you on the cross so that you can escape death, the penalty of sin.
Romans 6:23 continues, "...but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
God has given us a way to escape the penalty for our sin.

4. You must accept the gift.
Romans 10:9 says, "That if you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:13 says, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
God has promised that if you will accept his free gift, he will save you.

If you would like to be saved now, Pray, and tell Christ that you realize you are a sinner and that cannot save yourself. Tell him that you believe that Christ died for your sins and that you want to receive his free gift of salvation. Ask him to save you.
